《GB/T 18665-2008地理标志产品 蒙山茶》由TC554（全国知识管理标准化技术委员会）归口，TC554SC1（全国知识管理标准化技术委员会地理标志分会）执行，主管部门为国家知识产权局。
本标准规定了蒙山茶地理标志产品的地理标志产品保护范围、术语和定义、产品分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、标签及包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于国家质量监督检验检疫行政主管部门根据《地理标志产品保护规定》批准保护的蒙山茶。

2. Background of the Standard
This standard was issued in 2008 to protect the geographical indication product characteristics of Mengshan tea and regulate its production and quality management. Compared with the 2002 version, the new standard has been improved in the following aspects:
- Changed from mandatory to recommended
- Updated the requirements for hygiene indicators
- Added the overall requirements for sensory quality
- Improved the requirements for physical and chemical indicators

4. Tea tree cultivation and processing technology
4.1 Cultivation technology requirements
Tea tree varieties are mainly selected and bred from Mengshan group varieties, and it is recommended to use NY/T5018 Technical Regulations for the Production of Pollution-free Food Tea. Soil conditions require sandy and moderately sticky loam, with a pH value between 4.0 and 6.5.
4.2 Processing process
- Mengding Huangya: fresh leaves spread → killing green → spreading and cooling → stir-frying the second green → wrapping yellow → stir-frying the third green → piling yellow → drying and extracting hair → drying → quantitative packaging and storage.
- Jasmine Tea: fresh leaves spread out → withering → cooling → first kneading → second kneading → drying → shaping and lifting → drying → blending → quantitative packing and storage.

6. Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
- Enterprises should strictly follow the scope of protection of geographical indication products and ensure that the source of raw materials is legal.

- Promote green tea garden management technology to improve tea production and quality.
