Scope

This part of GB/T 18691 specifies the design requirements, performance requirements, conformity assessment, marking and packaging of isolation valves. This section applies to irrigation systems where the water temperature does not exceed 60°C and the water may contain certain types and concentrations of fertilizers or chemicals commonly used in agriculture. This part applies to hydraulically driven irrigation isolation valves with a nominal size not less than DN8. The isolation valve is designed to work in fully open and fully closed states, but it can also work in any intermediate state for a long time.
