《GB/T 18742.1-2002冷热水用聚丙烯管道系统第1部分:总则》由TC48（全国塑料制品标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准规定了冷热水用聚丙烯管道系统所用的定义、符号和缩略语，以及使用条件级别、材料和卫生性能的要求。本标准与GB/T 18742.2《冷热水用聚丙烯管道系统第2部分：管材》、GB/T 18742.3《冷热水用聚丙烯管道系统第3部分：管件》一起适用于建筑物内冷热水管道系统，包括工业及民用冷热水、饮用水和采暖系统等。本标准不适用于灭火系统和不使用水作为介质的系统。

Scope

This standard specifies the definitions, symbols and abbreviations used in polypropylene piping systems for hot and cold water, as well as the requirements for service level, material and hygienic performance. This standard is applicable to buildings together with GB/T l8742.2 "Polypropylene Piping System for Cold and Hot Water - Part 2: Pipes" and GB/T l8742.3 "Polypropylene Piping System for Cold and Hot Water - Part 3: Fittings" Cold and hot water piping systems in buildings, including industrial and civil hot and cold water, drinking water and heating systems, etc. This standard does not apply to fire extinguishing systems and systems that do not use water as a medium.
