Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, inspection rules, labeling and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of thermoplastic butterfly valves (hereinafter referred to as butterfly valves). This standard is applicable to manual or power-driven butterfly valves for general industrial water delivery, sewage and waste water systems, domestic hot and cold water, drinking water and heating and ventilation systems. The nominal diameter ranges of butterfly valves specified in this standard are DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150, DN200, DN250, DN300, DN350, DN400, DN450, DN500 and DN600. The nominal pressure range is PNO.6, PN1.0, PN1.6.
