Analysis of the core content of the standard

Material performance requirements

The standard stipulates that polyethylene compounding materials must meet the following requirements:

  • Density range 956kg/m³~968kg/m³
  • Melt mass flow rate (MFR) 190℃/5kg is 0.15g/10min~1.0g/10min
  • Carbon black content 2.0%~2.5% (mass fraction)
  • Oxidation induction temperature>220℃ (10℃/min heating rate)
Key indicators: HDS≤6.90MPa at 23℃, design factor DF≤0.63 (DF≤0.5 for nuclear safety grade pipelines)

Physical and mechanical properties test

Key test items include:

  1. 80℃/200h hydrostatic test (ring stress 5.17MPa)
  2. Short-term pressure test (ring stress 22.07MPa at 23℃ for 5s)
  3. Fusion compatibility verification (butt fusion tensile strength ≥25MPa)
Special requirements:Electrofusion fittings must pass the extrusion peeling test, and the brittle failure ratio must be ≤15%

This standard innovatively introduces:

  • Dual size system (IPS/metric) compatible design
  • Special provisions for nuclear safety-grade pipelines (DF≤0.5)
  • Pressure calculation method for welded fittings (Appendix C)
  • HDS parameter table for operating temperature 0℃~60℃ (Appendix A)

Implementation suggestions

Note when applying:

  1. Nuclear safety-grade pipelines should be verified for system suitability separately
  2. Storage of electric fusion pipe fittings should avoid resistance drift
  3. The cutting angle θ of welded elbows should be ≤11.25°
  4. Fusion process assessment is required before installation
