Scope
This part of GB/T18742 specifies polypropylene pipe materials made from polypropylene blends extruded into round cross-sections (hereinafter referred to as pipes). It covers definitions, symbols and abbreviations, materials, product classification, selection of the pipe series S value, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings. This part is applicable together with GB/T18742.1 and GB/T18742.3 for building internal cold and hot water piping systems, including drinking water and heating pipeline systems, etc. Note: The purchaser is responsible for selecting this product in accordance with specific application requirements, relevant regulations, standards or code requirements. This part does not apply to fire protection systems.
