Scope

This International Standard provides guidance for the establishment and maintenance of quality management system documentation, which is tailored to the specific needs of an organization and is necessary to ensure an effective quality management system. The use of the guidelines facilitates the establishment of a documented system as required by the applicable quality management system standard. This standard applies not only to documenting the quality management system established in accordance with GB/T 19000 family standards, but also to documenting the environmental management system and safety management system. NOTE: When a procedure is documented, it is often referred to as a "written procedure" or a "documented procedure".
