《GB/T 19233-2008轻型汽车燃料消耗量试验方法》由TC114（全国汽车标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为工业和信息化部。
该标准规定了通过测定汽车在模拟市区和郊区工况循环下的二氧化碳、一氧化碳和碳氢化合物排放量，并用平衡法计算燃料消耗量的实验和计算方法，以及生产一致性的检查和判定方法；适用于以点燃式发动机为动力，最大设计车速大于或等于50km/h的M1类N1类和最大总质量不超过3500kg的M2类车辆。本标准不适用于不能燃用汽油或柴油的车辆。

Scope

1.1 This standard stipulates that the carbon dioxide (C0₂), carbon monoxide (C0) and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions of vehicles under the cycle of simulated urban and suburban conditions are measured, and the fuel consumption is calculated by the carbon balance method. Quantitative testing and calculation methods, as well as inspection and judgment methods of production consistency. 1.2 This standard applies to the M₁ and N₁ categories powered by ignition engines or compression ignition engines, whose maximum design speed is greater than or equal to 50 km/h, and whose maximum design total mass does not exceed 3 500 kg vehicles of category M₂. 1.3 This standard does not apply to vehicles that cannot burn gasoline or diesel.
