Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for Chinese character input using a general-purpose keyboard in information technology products. This standard applies to the Chinese character input coding scheme, Chinese character input technology and its products based on general-purpose keyboards for Chinese character input. This standard can be used as the basis for selecting input methods for information technology products and for relevant departments to test input method products and information products.
