Key technical points
BET principle: The monolayer adsorption amount is calculated by the formula (p/p0)/[n(1-p/p0)] = 1/(nmC) + (C-1)(p/p0)/(nmC), applicable to the relative pressure range of 0.05-0.3
Molecular cross-sectional area: At liquid nitrogen temperature (77.3K), the nitrogen molecule is 0.162 nm², and the argon molecule (87.3K) is 0.142 nm²
Implementation Precautions
- The degassing temperature needs to be determined by thermogravimetric analysis to avoid sample decomposition (typical value: metal oxides 150-300℃)
- For microporous materials, it is recommended to use the t-plot method in Appendix C or NLDFT theory to assist in analysis
- For samples with low specific surface area (<1 m²/g), krypton gas adsorption is recommended
