本部分规定和描述书目资料采访过程中机构之间数据交换所需的数据，也标识用于采访过程的消息及其数据。本部分用于两类消息，一类是用特定数据名称作为标题的打印好的表格传送的消息，另一类是通过自动化信息交换过程传送的消息。本部分不包含怎样将数据构造成为消息。

Scope

This section specifies and describes the data elements required for data exchange between institutions during the acquisition process of bibliographic materials, and also identifies the messages and their data elements used in the acquisition process. This section applies to two types of messages, those transmitted in printed forms with specific data element names as titles, and those transmitted by automated message exchange processes. This section does not cover how data elements are structured as messages.
