Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

GB/T 19752-2024, as the national standard for hybrid electric vehicle power performance testing, replaces the 2005 edition of the standard. This revision mainly responds to the following technical development needs:

Technical Dimensions 2005 Edition 2024 Edition Main Changes
Test Mode Hybrid/Pure Electric Dual Mode Focus on Hybrid Mode Delete Pure Electric Mode Related Test Items
REESS Management Simple Charging Requirements Detailed Charging Specifications Added 5.1.3 Charging End Judgment Criteria
Test Method 8 Test Procedures 6 optimized tests Added 7.4 Acceleration capability test

Analysis of core test methods

4.1 Test vehicle requirements

The standard puts forward strict requirements on test vehicles:

  • Run-in mileage: must be greater than 300km, plug-in hybrid power must complete a full charge and discharge cycle
  • Energy storage system: All non-driving energy storage systems should be charged to the recommended value
  • Tractor: The matching trailer shall not increase the frontal area

7.2 30-minute maximum speed test

Key improvements:

Parameters Requirements Measurement methods
Speed stability ±5% estimated value interval Average speed calculated using formula (2)
Failure handling 2 retry opportunities Need to re-estimate the maximum speed
Test site Circular road/chassis dynamometer New dynamometer test specification

Detailed explanation of key technical changes

5.3 New regulations on vehicle test quality

The standard clarifies the loading requirements for different types of vehicles for the first time:

M1 vehicles: loading in stages according to the designed loading mass (180kg is the critical value)

Commercial vehicles: city buses at 65% of the maximum loading mass, tractors at the maximum designed total mass in train status

Typical case: test mass of a plug-in hybrid SUV = curb mass + 180kg (design loading mass 350kg)

7.4 Innovation in acceleration capability test

Two new test procedures are added:

  1. Start-from-spot test: acceleration from rest to 100km/h or 90% of the maximum vehicle speed
  2. Overtaking acceleration test: full throttle acceleration from a starting speed of 30/60km/h

Data processing requires a coefficient of variation of ≤3% (start-from-spot), ≤6% (overtaking)

Implementation suggestions

Test preparation phase

  • It is recommended to establish a REESS charging and discharging monitoring system to ensure compliance with the charging time formula requirements in 5.1.3
  • The environmental monitoring equipment must meet the accuracy requirements of Table 1 in 4.3, especially wind speed measurement (±0.5m/s)

Test execution phase

  • The tire pressure should be increased by 20kPa during the ramp test (Clause 7.1.1)
  • Note the requirement of 7.1.7: the hybrid mode shall not switch automatically

Data recording points

The 21 parameters required by Appendix B must be recorded, including:

  • Drive motor peak power and corresponding speed
  • Initial SOC value of the test
  • Ring road correction factor k (Appendix A)
