Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 19889.7-2022 is an important standard for building acoustics measurement. It replaces the 2005 version and integrates the relevant content of GB/T 19889.14-2010. The standard specifies the method of measuring the sound insulation performance of floor impact sound in the frequency range of 50Hz-5000Hz using two excitation sources: impactor and rubber ball.

Key Technology Updates

  • Expanded Measurement Range: Added rubber ball as a heavy and soft impact sound source, and improved the assessment of daily noise such as barefoot walking
  • Enhanced low-frequency measurement: For rooms with a volume of less than 25m³, it is required to add 50/63/80Hz corner sound pressure level measurement
  • Detailed Operation Specifications: It is clearly stated that when measurement personnel are present, they must maintain a distance of ≥1 arm's length from the microphone

Measurement Equipment and Calibration Requirements

Equipment Type Standard Basis Calibration Period
Sound Pressure Level Measurement System GB/T 3785.1

Key Points for Implementation of Field Measurement

Specialization of Impact Source Arrangement

For impactor: At least 4 positions shall be randomly distributed, ≥0.5m from the floor boundary, and the hammer connection line shall be at a 45° angle to the beam. Soft surface layers shall adopt the special requirements of Appendix A.

For rubber ball: free fall from a height of 100cm±1cm, the lightweight floor must include the top and center points of the joists.

Comparison of Microphone Arrangement Schemes

Measurement Method Applicable Scenarios Minimum Spacing
Fixed Microphone Unattended Measurement Position Spacing≥0.7m
Mechanized Movement Continuous Measurement in Large Spaces Scanning Radius≥0.7m
Manual Scanning Confined Space Measurement Path Inclination≥10°

Special Requirements for Low-Frequency Band Measurements

When the volume of the receiving room is less than 25m³, the following additional measurements are required based on conventional measurements:

  1. Use fixed microphones to measure at least 4 corners (2 on the ground/2 on the ceiling)
  2. The microphone should be 0.3-0.4m away from the boundary of each corner
  3. Calculate the low-frequency average sound pressure level according to the formula Li,LF=10lg[(100.1Li+2×100.1Li)/3]

Note: For reverberation time measurement, a 63Hz octave filter is used to improve the measurement accuracy of small rooms.

Result Expression and Uncertainty

The test report must include:

  • 1/3 octave spectrum curve (5mm/octave, 20mm/10dB ratio)
  • Single value evaluation quantity (calculated according to GB/T 50121)
  • Background noise limit statement (when the signal-to-noise ratio ≤6dB)
  • Measurement uncertainty assessment (according to GB/T 19889.2)
