Scope
This standard applies to lampholders with barrel threads for shade rings used to secure lampholder accessories. This standard also covers barrel threads for shade rings. Attention should be drawn to the safety standards for lampholders IEC 60238, IEC 60400, IEC 60838-1 and IEC 61184 which cover all safety aspects of lampholders and the luminaire standard IEC 60598-1 which contains information on the design of luminaires.
