Scope

This standard stipulates the information format and recording standard of digital magnetic tapes with 9 tracks, 12.7mm wide, and a recording density of 32 lines/mm, which are recorded according to the non-return-to-zero system. The magnetic tape recorded by this standard is suitable for the exchange of information between information processing systems, data communication systems and their connected equipment.
