Scope
This standard specifies the fire protection, safety and related requirements for site selection, design, construction, security, operation and maintenance of LNG plants. This standard applies to natural gas liquefaction facilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage, gasification, transshipment and handling facilities, personnel training in LNG, and the design, siting, construction, maintenance and operation of all LNG facilities. This standard does not apply to underground storage tanks in permafrost, mobile storage tanks stored or used in buildings, and all LNG vehicles including LNG vehicle filling.
