Scope

This part of GB/T 20380 specifies the method for the determination of cadmium content in starch and its derivatives and by-products by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. Electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry involves far more process parameters than flame atomic absorption spectrometry, so it is impossible to provide a comprehensive method to ensure satisfactory experimental results on various instruments. Therefore, each analyst should use general or specific guidelines to optimize the conditions of use of his own instrument.
