Scope

This standard specifies the mechanical dimensions and electroacoustic characteristics of condenser microphones used as laboratory standards to enable the realization of sound pressure measurements and to achieve the highest measurement accuracy for sound pressure measurements. This specification ensures simple and easy primary calibration using the reciprocity method. This part specifies the classification system established according to the mechanical size and electroacoustic characteristics of laboratory standard condenser microphones, so as to standardize the calibration method and realize the comparison between laboratories, including the calibration of the same microphone in different laboratories and a given calibration.
