Introduction

Standard Revision Background and Technical Evolution

GB/T 20671.1-2020 replaces the 2006 version of the standard. The main technical changes include: Classification basis changed to separation of classification method and code definition, M code tensile strength value rounding adjustment, new G/S coding system, etc. This standard was proposed by China Building Materials Federation and is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Non-metallic Mineral Products and Products.

Implementation and application suggestions

  1. Material selection: Type 7 non-asbestos fiber materials are preferred to replace asbestos products
  2. Coding application: Supplementary characteristic codes need to be combined with working conditions requirements (such as B5 creep index is suitable for high temperature conditions)
  3. Testing Notes: The thickness measurement shall be carried out according to the corresponding pressure specified in Table 5 (e.g. Type 1 material requires 80.3±6.9kPa)

Application Case: A chemical plant pipeline seal uses F725400-B5 coded material. Under 100℃/2.5MPa working conditions, the 24h stress loss is reduced from the original 35% to 28%, and the sealing life is increased by 40%
