本试验方法规定了垫片材料在室温下短时压缩率和回弹率的测定方法，适用于板状垫片材料、现场成形垫片及其在某些情况下切自板材的垫片。本方法不适用于长期加压下的材料的压缩率或加弹率的测试，同时也没有考虑在非室温情况下的测试。如果需要，试验得到的数据也可以用来计算样品的弹性恢复率（用压缩后的厚度的百分数表示的回弹量）。

Scope

This test method specifies the method for determining the short-term compressibility and rebound rate of gasket materials at room temperature. It is applicable to gasket materials in the form of plates, gaskets formed in place, and gaskets cut from plate in some cases. This method is not suitable for testing the compressibility (commonly referred to as "creep") or rebound rate (the opposite is commonly referred to as "compression set") of materials under long-term pressure, and it does not take into account the non-room temperature conditions. next test.
