本试验方法规定了非金属垫片材料柔软性的测定方法。试验样品从供给商业用途的板材货物中切取或正品垫片中抽取。

Scope

This test method specifies a method for testing the softness of nonmetallic gasket materials. Test samples are cut from sheet stock supplied for commercial use or from finished gaskets. Exceptions are materials generally classified as rubber products, as they fall under the ASTM D2000 category.
