Scope
Minimum safety requirements for the design, materials, manufacture and testing of inflatable boats (including rigid inflatable boats) with an overall length of less than 8 m and a minimum buoyancy of 1800 N. Applicable to the following types of inflatable boats intended to operate in ambient temperatures of -20°C to 60°C: large (inflatable boats with an engine rated power of 15 kW and above); medium (inflatable boats with an engine rated power of 75 kW and above and a stability coefficient greater than 250). Excludes single-cabin boats and boats made of unsupported materials, and does not apply to water sports boats and inflatable life rafts.
