《GB/T 21224-2007评定绝缘材料水树枝化的试验方法》由TC301（全国电气绝缘材料与绝缘系统评定标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准等同采用IEC/TS 61956：1999，规定了评定聚乙烯和交联聚乙烯复合物中水树枝化的试验方法。
Scope
This standard specifies the test method for evaluating water branching in polyethylene (PE) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) composites, that is, evaluating the relative performance of these composites under alternating current (AC) electrical stress and the presence of water. Two test methods are described in the standard, method I is used to evaluate the insulation material alone, and method II is used to evaluate the insulation interlayer of the insulation compound covered with semi-conductive shielding layer
