本标准规定了机动车测速仪的术语和定义、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、标签、包装。本标准适用于测定在道路上行驶机动车速度的装置，但不适用于安装在机动车上，测定自身速度的装置。

Motor vehicle speed detector

1 Scope

This standard specifies terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling and packaging of motor vehicle speed detector (hereinafter referred to as speed detector).

This standard is applicable to devices that detect the speed of motor vehicles traveling on roads, but it is not applicable to devices that are installed on and measure the speed of motor vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

device for detecting the speed of a motor vehicle running on road, including single-function speed detector that only manually detects the speed of the motor vehicle by using the principles of radar and laser speed detect and composite-function speed detector that detects the speed of the motor vehicle by using the principles of radar, laser, loop induction and video analysis speed detect and, at the same time, acquires and processes picture

to obtain the running speed of the motor vehicle through calculation based on the measurement of the variation between the emission frequency of radar wave and the frequency of reflected wave
