《GB/T 21656-2008灯的国际编码系统（ILCOS）》由TC224（全国照明电器标准化技术委员会）归口，TC224SC1（全国照明电器标准化技术委员会电光源及其附件分会）执行，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准给出了灯的国际编码系统的规则。本标准规定了主要类型的灯的编码。

Scope

This standard gives the rules for the international numbering system for lamps and covers all classes of lamps, excluding lamps for motor vehicles. This standard specifies the coding of the main types of lamps. For other types of lamps, they shall be coded in accordance with the applicable revision of this standard. The purpose of the international coding system for lamps is to: - improve the information transfer of different types of lamps; - facilitate discussions on the interchangeability of products; - create closer links between international standards and manufacturers' documents (For example, the code can be given in the relevant chapter of a certain standard in the future); - Make it possible to replace the lamp correctly; - Used as a supplementary mark on the luminaire; - Replace the national and regional coding system.
