Scope

This document establishes the principles for determining the particle size distribution of granular materials such as metals and related compounds using the light scattering method. It also specifies the instruments, reagents, and materials used in the test, as well as the test procedures and reporting requirements. This document is applicable to the determination of the particle size distribution of metals and related compounds in the range of 0.4μm to 2000μm using the light scattering method.
