《GB/T 21898-2008纺织品颜色表示方法》由TC120（全国颜色标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
编制《纺织品颜色表示方法》，目的在于规范纺织品及相关领域颜色的表示方法，使之成为纺织产业链上下游间颜色交流的语言和工具，使纺织产业链颜色管理标准化。制定并应用本标准，有助于纺织产业链提高快速反应能力和产品竞争力；有助于纺织品颜色使用者掌握颜色市场应用规律，提高产品设计、开发创新能力；有助于减少颜色质量问题造成的损失；有助于通过促进我国纺织品颜色基础研究和应用研究的发展，增强在国际纺织色彩研究和应用领域中的影响力，对纺织行业产业升级有积极作用。本标准是首次发布。本标准规定了用颜色三属性―――色相、明度、彩度来标示纺织品颜色的方法。
本标准适用于纺织品设计、生产、贸易等领域中对纺织品颜色的定量表示。

Scope

This standard stipulates the method of labeling the color of textiles by using the three attributes of color—hue, lightness, and chroma. This standard is applicable to the quantitative expression of textile color in the fields of textile design, production and trade.
