Scope

WARNING: Personnel using this section should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This section does not address all possible security issues. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. This part of GB/T 21931 specifies the high-frequency induction furnace combustion infrared absorption method for the determination of sulfur content in nickel, nickel-iron and nickel alloys. This section applies to the determination of sulfur content of 0.001% to 0.3% (mass fraction) in nickel and ferronickel and 0.001% to 0.1% (mass fraction) of sulfur content in nickel alloys. See Appendix A for composition examples.
