《GB/T 2286-2008焦炭全硫含量的测定方法》由TC183（全国钢标准化技术委员会）归口，TC183SC15（全国钢标准化技术委员会炭素材料分会）执行，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准代替GB/T 2286-1991《焦炭全硫含量的测定方法》。
本标准规定了焦炭全硫含量测定的原理、试剂和材料、仪器设备、试样的采取、试验步骤、结果计算和精密度。
本标准适用于焦炭全硫含量的测定，方法一为艾氏卡法，方法二为高温燃烧法，在仲裁分析时应采用艾氏卡法。
本标准与GB/T 2286-1991相比主要作了以下修改：
――修改了书写格式、术语、符号；
――将标准英文名称“Coke―Determinationl of total sulphur”改为“Coke―Determination of total sulfur”;
――增加了“前言”部分；
――不再将标准分为篇；
――增加“试验报告”内容；
――“试验准备”不再单独列为一章，“试验准备”内容移到“试验步骤”中；
――按ISO 351：1996（E）规定增加空白试验内容；
――附录A标准溶液的配制与标定按GB/T 601-2002进行了修改完善。

Scope

This standard specifies the principle, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, sample collection, test procedures, result calculation and precision of coke total sulfur content determination. This standard is applicable to the determination of the total sulfur content of coke. The first method is the Eschka method, and the second method is the high-temperature combustion method. The Escalite method should be used in the arbitration analysis.
