I. Background of Standard Formulation and Analysis of Technical Evolution

GB/T 23668 is one of the important standards in China for the field of chemical reagents, which mainly regulates the quality requirements and test methods of 2,6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline (hereinafter referred to as "DCNPA"). This standard replaces the old version of GB/T 23668—2009, and has made technical improvements in the following aspects:

  • Indicator optimization:The mass fraction and purity control requirements of DCNPA have been improved.
  • New items:The test requirements for the mass fraction of ash have been added.
  • Method Update: The appearance evaluation method was improved and a more advanced liquid chromatography (HPLC) was introduced for purity determination.

III. Interpretation of core indicators and test methods

1. Determination of mass fraction (titration method)

Use sodium nitrite standard titration solution and starch-potassium iodide test paper to determine the endpoint. This method has high accuracy, with an allowable error of 0.30%.

2. Purity determination (HPLC)

Use reverse phase HPLC, the mobile phase is methanol and water (65:35), and the detection wavelength is 254nm. The purity is calculated by peak area normalization method, and the allowable difference is 0.20%.
