《GB/T 23733-2009中国标准音乐作品编码》由TC4（全国信息与文献标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了中国标准音乐作品编码的结构、编码对象、管理维护机构、分配规则以及与中国标准音乐作品编码相关的元数据。
本标准适用于完全由声音汇集而成的抽象的智力或艺术创作。
本标准不适用于音乐作品的表现形式或其载体形态。音乐作品的表现形式或载体形态应当归属其他专门的标识系统。
注册中国标准音乐作品编码与版权登记不具有同一性，也不自然成为提供音乐作品知识产权的法律凭证。

Scope

This standard specifies the structure, coding object, management and maintenance organization, distribution rules and metadata related to the coding of Chinese standard musical works. This standard applies to abstract intellectual or artistic creations composed entirely of sounds. This standard does not apply to the form of expression of musical works or its carrier form. The expression form or carrier form of musical works should belong to other special identification systems. The registration of the Chinese standard music work code is not identical to the copyright registration, nor does it naturally become the legal evidence of the intellectual property rights of the audiovisual work.
