Scope

This standard specifies methanol gasoline for vehicles blended with 84% to 86% (volume fraction) of methanol and 16% to 14% (volume fraction) of vehicle gasoline (conforming to GB 17930) and additives to improve performance (M85) Terms and definitions, abbreviations, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage, and safety. The products covered by this standard are suitable for use as fuel for vehicles with methanol gasoline (M85) ignition engines. The molecular formula of methanol is CH₃OH.
