Scope

This standard provides qualification requirements for environmental auditors and audit team leaders. It applies equally to internal and external auditors. The personnel composition and selection criteria of the audit team are not included here. For requirements in this regard, refer to GB/T24011. Note: This standard was developed at the same time as two other national standards. One of these two standards is the general principles of environmental auditing (GB/T24010), and the other is a guideline for environmental management system auditing (GB/T24011). . If ISO develops detailed guidance on other types of environmental audits, revisions to this standard may be required.
