GB/T 24308—2019 Interpretation of Technical Regulations for Tobacco Seed Production and Processing

Reproduction and renewal of germplasm resources
This standard puts forward detailed requirements for the reproduction and renewal of germplasm resources, including the formulation of reproduction plans, site selection, field design, seed preparation, sowing and seedling raising, etc.
Original seed reproduction
Use original seed reproduction or three-field system to purify and reproduce original seeds. Emphasis is placed on the selection of reproduction sites, seed quality testing, and management requirements after reproduction.
Field seed production
Specifies the production technology of conventional seeds and hybrid seeds, including site selection, sowing and seedling raising, transplanting, field management and seed harvesting.
Pelleted seed processing
New requirements for pelleted seed processing technology, covering the process of germination, disinfection, priming, granulation, dyeing and drying.
Implementation suggestions
- The reproduction and renewal of germplasm resources must be strictly operated in accordance with standards to ensure genetic purity.
- Professional equipment and technology should be used for pelleted seed processing to ensure seed quality.
