Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking packaging of marine diesel engine charge air coolers (referred to as air coolers). This standard applies to various types of marine diesel engine air coolers; it can also be applied to diesel engine air coolers for other purposes.
