Scope

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for aircraft ground deicing and anti-icing methods, which are consistent with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Aircraft Ground Deicing and Anti-icing Operation Manual (Doc. Operation safety of transport aircraft in ice conditions. This standard does not make detailed regulations on specific models. For the relevant content in this standard, the manuals, procedures or methods published by the aircraft manufacturer are preferred. Airline published manuals, procedures or methods supplement the content of this standard. Applying the procedures in this standard can effectively remove frost, ice or snow that seriously affects the aerodynamic characteristics and handling characteristics of the aircraft. This standard does not cover de-icing and anti-icing by mechanical means.
