本标准规定了用直接计数法测定纱线的捻向、捻度和退捻后长度变化的方法。本标准适用于:a)短纤维单纱及有捻复丝;b)股线;c)缆线。本方法主要用于卷装纱。增加特殊步骤后，也可用于从织物上拆下的纱线。本方法不适用于张力从0.5cN/tex增加到1.0cN/tex时其伸长超过0.5%的纱线，协议认可者除外。这类纱线可以在有关各方接受的张力条件下进行试验。本方法不适用于单丝、自由端纺纱产品以及交缠复丝捻度的测定。本方法不适用于太粗的纱线。这类纱线在试验仪的夹钳中会严重轧伤变形，影响试验结果。
Scope
This standard specifies the method for measuring the twist direction, twist and length change after untwisting of yarn by direct counting method. This standard applies to: a) staple fiber single yarn and twisted multifilament; b) strand; c) cable. This method is mainly used for package yarn. It can also be used for yarns that have been removed from fabric after adding a special step.
