Scope

This standard specifies the reuse process, and associates the reuse process with the basic software life cycle process defined in GB/T 8566-2007. This International Standard provides a common framework for systematic practices that extend software life cycle processes to include software reuse activities. This standard specifies the processes, activities and tasks to be performed at each stage in the software life cycle where assets can be used to build software products. This International Standard also specifies those processes, activities and tasks that can be used to identify, construct, maintain and manage assets. This standard applies to the acquisition of software products (including assets), the acquisition of software services, and the supply, development, operation and maintenance of software products (including assets). Off-the-shelf software designed for reuse is those assets covered by this standard. special case of .
