Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and measurement methods for handsets using three hearing aid coupling methods: auxiliary amplification, magnetic field coupling and electrical coupling. This standard applies to handsets using hearing aid coupling technology. In addition, the electrical coupling of hearing aids for cordless phones and mobile phones, and the magnetic field coupling of hearing aids for landline phones answered by headsets can also be used as reference.
