本标准规定了戊二醛消毒剂的原料要求和技术要求、应用范围、使用方法、检验方法、标志和包装、运输和贮存、标签和说明书及注意事项。
本标准适用于以戊二醛，或戊二醛加脂肪醇聚氧乙烯醚，或戊二醛加十二烷基二甲基苄基氯化铵，或戊二醛加十二烷基二甲基苄基溴化铵为主要成分；以pH调节剂（碳酸氢钠）、防锈剂（亚硝酸钠）等为辅助成分，其最终戊二醛的浓度范围为2.0%~2.5%的消毒剂。
