Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
As the basic terminology specification for the silk industry, this standard was first published in 2011. This revision combines the needs of industrial technological development and mainly reflects progress in three aspects:
| Dimensions | 2011 Edition | 2022 Edition | Explanation of Changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total Number of Terms | 142 Items | 180 Items | 38 New Items |
| Raw Material Classification | 2 Types of Silkworm Cocoons | 4 Types of Silkworm Cocoons | Added Castor Cocoons and Cassava Cocoons |
| Process coverage | 3 major processes | 5 major processes | Newly added digital inkjet printing, etc. |
Analysis of core terminology system
1. Raw material classification system
The standard constructs a three-level classification structure:
- First-level classification: Silkworm cocoons (3.1), silk (3.2), and scraps (3.3)
- Second-level subdivision: For example, silkworm cocoons have newly added natural colored cocoons (3.1.10)
- Characteristic annotation: Fresh silk (3.2.7) needs to be labeled with moisture content
2. Production process terminology
Typical case: Raw material refining (5.2.2)
Definition change: Expanded from simple degumming to include bio-enzyme treatment, and new requirements for hanging jet refining equipment
Implementation suggestions
- Detection field: Pay attention to the distinction between natural colored cocoons and dyed cocoons (refer to GB/T37370 colorimetric standard)
- Trade field: Standardize the use of new product terms such as mulberry silk stretch fabric (4.1.10)
- Production field: Process documents need to be updated synchronously, such as the environmental protection indicators of plant dyeing (5.4.7.8)
