Scope
This standard specifies the ordering information, quality assurance, chemical composition, tensile properties, overall quality, final treatment, inspection, rejection, quality certificate, product marking and packaging requirements for magnesium alloy forgings. This standard applies to free forgings and die forgings of magnesium alloys. See Appendix A for the chemical composition range. In this standard, the standard value is the value of the international system of units, and the value listed in the brackets is the value of the imperial unit, which is reference information.
