Scope

This standard specifies the principle, instrument, sample preparation and storage, measurement method, image analysis, result calculation, typical sample measurement examples, etc. for measuring the diameter of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This standard applies to the measurement of the diameter of carbon nanotubes using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and TEM image analysis techniques. This standard is not applicable to carbon nanotube samples with bamboo-shaped and other significant diameter changes.
