本标准主要适用于检查一、二类真迹传真设备的性能及其传输质量。根据接收机复制出的各个图型的失真程度，可以对相应的技术参数或指标作出客观或主观的评定。也可用来进行相片传真系数(除半色调特性以外)及其它类型传真系统的一些测试。
Scope
This standard is mainly applicable to checking the performance and transmission quality of Class I and Class II authentic facsimile equipment. According to the degree of distortion of each pattern reproduced by the receiver, the corresponding technical parameters or indicators can be evaluated objectively or subjectively. It can also be used for some tests of photo facsimile systems (except half-color characteristics) and other types of facsimile systems.
