GB/T 2696-2008 in English

本标准于1987年首次发布，本次为第一次修订。
本标准规定了机制黄麻绞包麻线、电缆麻纱线和钢丝绳芯麻纱的要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装和标志等技术内容。本标准适用于以黄麻、洋麻为主要原料的机制黄麻纱和线。
本标准与旧标准比的主要变化如下：
——沿用了GB/T 2696的编号，将原来的6项标准整合为1项标准；
——将黄麻绞包麻线、电缆麻纱线、钢丝绳芯麻纱的技术条件和分等规定合并为第3章；
——试验方法作为第4章，在采用通用方法的基础上，简化条款；
——验收规定的内容作为第5章，题目改为检验规则，在参考原规定的基础上，抽样方案相用了GB/T 2828.1-2003的规定；
——删除了包装方式、包装体积和成包重量允差的规定。

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking and other technical contents of machine-made jute twisted twine, cable twine yarn and steel cord core twine yarn. This standard is applicable to machine-made jute yarn and thread with jute and kenaf as main raw materials.
