Scope

This standard specifies the test method for chemical biodegradation screening test biochemical oxygen demand. This standard applies to water-soluble solid or liquid organic compounds, and can also be used for volatile, low-water-soluble organic compounds. This standard applies to organic substances that have no inhibitory effect on bacteria at the test concentration. This standard provides a method for screening the biodegradability of test substances.
