Scope

This standard specifies measures to reduce the risk of fire in engine room flammable fuel systems and to prevent leakage of flammable fuel. It is intended for use by designers, shipbuilders, engine room personnel, shipowners, operators and maintenance personnel. This standard covers design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance and inspection requirements for flammable fuel systems. This standard applies to new and built ships.
