Scope

This standard specifies the rules for spelling Chinese names using the Chinese pinyin alphabet, including the spelling rules for Chinese names and the spelling rules for minority languages. In order to meet the needs of the application, some alternative solutions for special occasions are given at the same time. This standard applies to the Chinese phonetic alphabet spelling of Chinese names in cultural education, editing and publishing, Chinese information processing and other aspects.
