Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of electric heating oil lamps for household and similar purposes (hereinafter referred to as "oil lamps"). This standard applies to oil lamps with rated voltage not exceeding 250V for single-phase appliances and 480V for other appliances used in households and similar places. They can be portable, fixed or standing oil lamps. This standard does not apply to: - oil lamps installed in building structures; - oil lamps specially designed for industrial use; intended to be used in special environments where corrosive or explosive gases (such as dust, steam or gas) are often generated oil lamp.
