Introduction

1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 28627—2023 replaces the old standard GB/T 28627—2012 and comprehensively revises the technical requirements and test methods for plastering gypsum. This standard was proposed by the China Building Materials Federation and is applicable to gypsum mortar plastering materials used for leveling indoor walls and ceiling bases of buildings.

3. Interpretation of technical requirements

3.1 Setting time

The initial setting time is ≥60 minutes, and the final setting time is ≤480 minutes. This indicator ensures the operability and stability of the plaster during the construction process.

3.2 Water retention rate

The water retention rate of light plaster is ≥70%, and the water retention rate of heavy plaster is >80%. High water retention helps to improve construction efficiency and reduce material waste.

3.3 Strength requirements

The flexural strength, compressive strength and tensile bond strength must all meet specific indicators to ensure the durability and safety of the plaster layer.

4. Implementation suggestions

Manufacturers: Ensure that the raw material procurement and production process control are strictly carried out in accordance with the standard requirements, and conduct type inspections regularly.
Construction units: Select plastering gypsum products that meet the standards and follow the recommended process parameters during construction.
Regulatory authorities: Strengthen supervision and spot checks on product quality to ensure that products circulating in the market meet national standards.
